Microneedling For Scalp
MICRONEEDLING FOR SCALP:
Micro needling is a type of cosmetic treatment that addresses various effects of aging. It’s also nicknamed skin needling because of its effects on increasing collagen production in the skin.
Micro needling involves the use of a skin roller with small needles that cause minor skin injuries.
While used as an anti-aging skin treatment, micro needling may also be a method of treatment for hair loss. There’s even evidence that it can help a special type of hair loss known as alopecia areata.
The same process of creating wounds in the skin is also thought to regenerate the health of the hair follicles. It’s thought that this can result in new hair growth, or perhaps, it may thicken thinning hair as seen in androgenic alopecia or male pattern baldness.
Micro needling is a form, where a small wheel containing hundreds of very small needles with sizes ranging between 0.2-2 millimetres is rolled over the skin, creating a large number of small punctures in the upper layers of the skin.
When rolled across your scalp, the needle creates tons of tiny punctures on the surface of the scalp and, it is thought that the body reacts to the many small wounds created by micro needling by flooding the local area with inflammatory and wound-healing molecules, such as growth factors.
This reaction is what helps rejuvenate the complexion and remodel scar tissue when a roller glides across the face, but in terms of hair growth, it is thought that the growth factors can improve follicular growth.
Micro needling should only be performed on a very clean scalp with a sterilized roller.
BENEFITS OF MICRO NEEDLING:

2. It can help other treatments work more effectively
3. The needles are tiny (ok, small)
4. Results are fairly quick
